Merry Christmas from Our House to Yours!

 Merry Christmas everyone!  This year had flown by for me.....anyone else feel that way?

This was one of my Christmas cards I made this year.  Many friends, family and customers received this one or one similar to it.   I even had time to have picture cards made and put  in the mail.   Hopefully-I didn't forget anyone and if I did PLEASE forgive me and send me an email -I will gladly get yours in the mail right away.

Mojo Monday - The Blog - Mojo Monday 376

I made this card for Mojo Monday and then got busy yesterday and forgot to post it.  Anyone else busy now?  Last week I went to the post office and promised myself I would not go there again til next year....THEN yesterday came and I found so many things I needed to get in the mail--I had to go back and see my favorite Postal people.  So I took them some of my Christmas Crafty candy holders because they DESERVE them.  (I just love our Postal people)  And they LOVED them so today I am posting what I was suppose to post yesterday.  Let me know what you think.

I used 2 different embossing folers:

On the W/W c/s I used Delicate Designs on pg 226 in the Annual Catalog  #127023  $8.95

B/B c/s  I used the Filligree Frame Embossing Folder on pg 15 in the Holiday Cat.  #135818  $7.95

The eyes, mouth, buttons, nose & tie I drew myself and used Crystal Effects, orange stickles & a white gel pen for his eyes to give them that twinkle.

1" Square Punch  pg 222 AC,  #124094  $15.95  Both sides cut up about 1/16th of an inch

Let's Spread Some JOY this Christmas...PPA Color Challenge PPA230

I know most of you know that my FAVORITE Stamp set Stampin' Up came out with this year is called  the Wondrous Wreath Stamp set.  Every class I've had so far we have used it and because I love it so much I have been making all my Christmas cards using this set.  So,  if your wondering why I haven't been posting those cards its because many of you will be getting one of those and I do not want to spoil the fun of Christmas card giving.  But this one is for this Pal's Paper Arts Challenge (PPA230) that I came upon this week.  Here is the link if you care to join in the fun.

 Here are the colors they chose and here is the card I made using those colors.  I had so much fun doing this card I am going to join in the fun with this again.  I hope you do too.

Here is my "Let's Spread Some Joy" card I have made.

The colors I used are Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar & Very Vanilla.  I used both the ink and the card stock.  The stamp set is Wondrous Wreath #135047  $25.95 pg 9 (HC)  & the Framelits that goes with this set is #135851 $24.95 pg 9 (HC) or you can purchase  Stamp set and the Framelits in a Bundles-saving 15%  # 137624  $43.25  pg 9 (HC)  I also used the Filligree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing folder, #135818 pg 15 in the Holiday Catalog.  

The Wreath is done in Baked Brown Sugar Ink, then stamped in Versa Mark and sprinkled with Heat & Staick Powder  #100625  $4.50 pg 213 (AC). ( I did the same with the bow)  I then used Dazzling Diamonds on top then stamped the berries and added Burgandy Stickles to make them pop.  Two tiny bells I hung from the bow  using gold Metallic Baker's Twine  #132975  $3.50  pg 206 (AC)

(The word JOY is included in the Framelits along with the word NOEL)

Would you like to build a Snowman?

Isn't he just the cutest little thing.  And easy too.  Put these snowmen to work as cute package toppers or place card holders for table settings. Or gather together your kids or grandkids together for a fun little party making snowmen families to decorate your home.

Create the hat using a 2-1/4" circle, a 1-1/2" circle, and 1-1/2" x 5" strip of cardstock or Designer Series Paper. Make the snowman’s body using 2-3/4", 2-1/4", and 1-7/8" circles (or whatever size you wish)! Use the Owl Punch for eyes and the Bird Punch to make the nose and mouth. Easy!

Christmas Angel with instructions

Here's something I always think about during Christmas.  I love to watch the Halmark Christmas Movies on TV and there seems to be an Angel in most of them.  So today is a gloomy day and I had a friend ask me to make an Angel so here it is.  Especially for my friend Sandra & Marriane.
