Someone Special

I just love the new Artisan Embellishment kit.   Check out the doily.  I sponged it using Crumb Cake ink #126975  and used Champagne Mist paint to make it sparkle. The Saying is from Sale-a-bration catalog.  It's the Vintage verses & I loved it on this card.   The new 5/8" Flower Trim (#126869, pg 5 of the new Spring catalog) is another of my favorites.  You can ink them to make them just about any color you want.  I also colored them using alcohol and ink and that works well also.  Use them in a row or just one by one.  Either way their great!  I also use rhinestones for the centers of the flowers.    Added a little bit of Lucky Limeade leaves for some color and a few butterflies.  Love this.  Hope you do too.

If you need a new Spring Catalog  just email me with your info and I will send one right out to you.  Sale-a-bration is still going on and will continue until March 22nd.  Remember for every $50.00 you spend you get something out of the sale-a-bration catalog.  There's some really nice thing in there.  If you don't have one you can check it out on my blog also.

Thanks for looking.  And have a great weekend!

Just a little Vintage

Today I went to meet with some girls to do a little crafting.  We needed to take a make-n-take and a swap.  This was my make-n-take.  A friend of mine was talking to me the other day about layering.  She told me she has trouble doing that......So I decided to make that kind of card so she could see how easy it really is.  WELL!  I'm not sure I convinced her today but maybe next time.  And she did like the card.  I used the Artisan Embellishment Kit.  And yes this is the same kit I am having the class with on January 31st.  There are so many fun things in the kit.  Check it out.  It is on page 10 of the new Spring catalog.  If you don't have one let me know and I will send you one.  It is a fun kit:  ribbon, lace buttons, flowers doilies, hearts....Really fun stuff.  Remember to let me know if your coming  before the  25th  so I can  order your kit.  Any leftovers are for you to take home.  Have a FUN day!

Speedy Recovery card

This is the card I am sending to my friend who is having surgery next week.  It will be perfect for her.  I saw a card that was like this but I had to change it up.  So I altered the tissue box, added some bling, ribbon, embossing, and this is what I came up with.  The ink is Primrose Petals (#126858)  and Raspberry Ripple (#126859) both new in colors. I used Pretty in pink c/s
(# 100459) and Whisper White c/s (#100730).
The ribbon was just some scraps I had in Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green (#126861).  The inside I made a tissue box and added the same flowers that I used on the outside of the card.  You could use just about any flowers you have.  I just stamped them and popped them up with a dimensional on both inside and out. The ribbon is expired but I love it and it is tiny enough for the stem of the flowers on the front.  2 Kleenex folded to fit the box and it's done.  Just have to add the saying of you choice.  LOVE THIS CARD.  Hope you like it also.   Have a wonderful weekend.

Cup of Friendship

Well, today I was suppose to be getting ready for our get together tomorrow and what was I doing.  Well,  I can tell you I am not ready for the meeting here at my house tomorrow.  But I did make this beautiful Cup of Friendship.   It doesn't hold water but it does hold candy and tea.  I have been wanting to make it for a friend of mine who is having surgery next week.  I think it will make her
happy when she sees it and the candy might even help a little.  I am going to make another and when I do I will put the instructions on my blog.  Hope your having a fun week.  Thanks for looking.

How do you like it?

I stamped the inside with the PS, I love you set.

Mojo Monday entry for the week of January 7, 2013

Hi,  It's Mojo Monday and here is may  Mojo Monday Card for this week.  I don't know about you but I love making Valentine's cards.  And this is my favorite one so far.  I love putting pink, red and white together-it just makes it so pretty and then with the leaves (which I cut by hand) they just made it pop.  So here is what I used.
Real Red c/s-  #100052
Whisper White c/s-  #100730
Garden Green c/s  -for leaves -cut by hand and then ran through the crimper for the veins.
Pretty in Pink c/s-  #100459
Real Red ink pad-  #126949
owl punch- #118073   heart flower & center
Fashionable Hearts Embosslits-  #125596  front center decoration and inside card
Fancy Fan embossing folder-  #127751
Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder-  #120175
1 /2 " scallop dots  ribbon-  #124144 ( pretty in pink)
Pearl Basic jewels-  #119247
Multipurpose liquid glue-  #110755  (flower)
Stampin' Dimensionals=  #104430  ( I used 1 high for the back piece-  on the outsides I used 2 or 3 to even out the height).  Only on the outside edges.  Since I used Real Red as the outside cardstock I added a piece of  Whisper White on the inside so it will be easy to see what I write. The center of the small heart flower you could also use a small real red button. (I used red stickles for the shiny look)  Also, remember with the extra hearts you cut with the Hearts embosslit you can decorate the inside of your card.    Hope you enjoyed this card.  Please send me feedback on what you think.  Have a fun stamping day!

I took this picture from the side so you could see the dimension.
