Happy Birthday to my Son

I can't believe my son is 31 years old today.  And what does he like to do ---play golf.  So I made him a Golf card.  (I hope he likes it,  I do)  And I really hope he doesn't look at my blog before he opens his card....that would sure take away the surprise.  HAHA

This was pretty easy card to make and measures 6 1/2" x 5".  Lots of steps today so let's started.

SNAIL Adhesive  104332
Stamping  Sponges  101610
post it notes
Use any Greeting stamp set  you would like for whatever card you need.

To Brayer:  Mask off with your post it notes how far down the paper you would like the sky leaving the bottom of your paper covered.  Starting rolling the brayer back and forth gently and gradually roll your brayer onto the paper ( steady strokes).  Begin with Marina Mist  and finish with Not Quite Navy.    Let dry.  Mask off the bottom half of your paper and begin doing the same thing with the Old Olive -til you get the desired color you would like).  Let dry.  Your brayering is finished.

Cut out a 1 1/4 circle out of whisper white card stock and one in the center of a post it note.  Do the same with the oval punch using only a post it note.
Using your 1 1/4 white card stock run it through the Big Shot using your polka dot embossing folder.  You want to use the debossed side of the oval to make it look like a golf ball.  Then sponge the sides with old olive ink.

Place the oval post it note  about 3/8" from the right side of the paper.  Using your basic black ink gently sponge black in the center to make a shadow for the golf ball hole.  Then do the same right under where you are going to place the golf ball.  (But do not sponge as dark.  This is just the shadow of the ball)  When you do that add your golf ball to the top of the shadow and your scene is done.

Add your black border to the paper on the top of the white card stock.  Then using river rock do the same. Just to do the layering.  Then follow with the scene.  Add a greeting and your card is finished.

I hope you enjoy making this card and enjoy your day.
